What is Usenet?
Usenet is a global network of servers hosting discussion groups called “newsgroups”. Each discussion group is dedicated to a specific topic. Members post and download messages to newsgroups just like many other forms of Internet discussion groups.
Unlike traditional Internet discussion groups, newsgroups allow members to post and download messages containing discussions or messages with attached files such as photos, videos, and more.
Ask your own questions.
Does Binverse protect my privacy?
Binverse has one of the best privacy policies on Usenet. Your personal information is never sold or rented to third parties.

Ask your own questions.
Will Binverse censor my posts or posts from other members?
Other than posts which violate our terms of service and are reported directly to Binverse, we will not delete any messages based on their content.
There are millions of new messages posted to Usenet every day and it is impossible for Binverse to review every single post. We believe in your right to freedom of speech. While this policy may result in some posts you may not personally agree with or find offensive, the result is an open community where everyone is free to express themselves equally.
Binverse does not and cannot control or censor messages posted by Binverse customers or other members of Usenet.
If you feel a post violates our Terms of Service please notify us at
abuse@binverse.com. If are a copyright holder and you feel a post is infringing on your copyright please read our
DMCA Policy for more information on reporting the abuse.

Quantum Leap Downloads
Why do Quantum Leap Downloads have a Gigabyte limit and how does this work?
You have two choices when accessing the Binverse service. You can download unlimited Gigabytes in our standard mode or a specific number of Gigabytes per month in Quantum Leap mode.
The package you signed up for on the Binverse website detailed how many Gigabytes per month of Quantum Leap downloads your account comes with. If you wish to see how much data your plan includes log on to our website and click on "My Plan".
Ask your own questions.
Are header downloads, chat or image previews counted against my Quantum Leap Downloads?
Only Usenet downloads are counted towards your Quantum Leap Downloads. Headers, chat and image previews will not count toward your download limit.
Ask your own questions.
Can I add more Gigabytes to my Quantum Leap Downloads?
If you have used all your available Quantum Leap downloads before the end of the month visit "My Plan" once you are logged on to the Binverse website. You will be able to reset your plan and your download limit. When you reset your plan you will be charged your next month’s fee, your download limit will be resent, and your bill date will change to the day of the month you initiated the resetting of your account.
If you have an annual or biannual account, your contract will reduce by one month when you reset your account. Please read the details on the "My Plan" section of the Binverse website for more information.

Ask your own questions.
Why isn’t the text post or file I’m looking for available on Usenet?
If you’re not finding results for your search queries try the following…
1. Check your search phrase for typos.
2. Try a more broader or more detailed query
3. Open the “Search” tab in the Binverse software and try subscribing to more newsgroups. The Binverse search engine will only search groups you have subscribed to.
Other reasons you may not be finding results are…
1. The item was posted, but was posted longer than 200 days ago. Binverse connects you to Usenet servers with up to 200 days worth of storage.
2. The item you are searching for has been removed for Terms of Service violations.
3. The item you are searching for was never posted.
Ask your own questions.
What can I post to newsgroups?
"Your download limit has been reached" What do I do?
This error is displayed if you have used all of your Quantum Leap high-speed downloads for the current month. You can try one of three things…
1. Download in Unlimited standard mode until the end of the current month when your Quantum Leap download limit will reset.
2. Reset your download limit manually by visiting the “My Plan” section of the Binverse website once you are logged on.
3. If you purchased a multi month plan from Binverse you can reset your download limit for this month right in the Binverse software. Please note, that by resetting your download limit you will reduce your service period by one month and you will lose any remaining downloads for this month. Binverse recommends that you wait until you have used almost all of your Quantum Leap downloads before resetting your account.
Ask your own questions.

The Binverse client itself is a software for Windows only. But as our product only provides the access to the usenet, you can use every other newsreader.
You may like to search online for "Mac Newsreader" in order to find a newsreader that fits your needs.
Change the servername in the set up of your newsreader to news.binverse.com, use port 119 and add "@binverse.com" at the end of your username (bnv-xxxxxxxx@binverse.com).
Ask your own questions.
How do I enable SSL encryption for downloading?
Open the Binverse software, click the Settings icon, and then the Download icon and check "Use SSL encryption for downloading." SSL encryption will encrypt all your downloads from the Usenet servers.
